Moon Pond bedtime routine

From wiggles to dreams

Shake out the wiggles, slow the breath, then settle in to rest. Just like the pond, when the water goes still, the moon comes out.

1 · Wiggle

Moon Pond Party

Bop leads the dance on the Party Patio, overlooking the pond. Shake, stomp, freeze and flop until every last wiggle is out.

Starring Bop
2 · Breathe

Breathe

Down by the Moon Pond, Luma's glow grows as we breathe in and softens as we breathe out. Even stormy feelings start to float away.

Starring Luma
3 · Dream

Hush

Night settles over the still pond. Slow stretches, big sleepy yawns and a goodnight to every toe.

Starring Snoozle and Luma

For grown-ups

The science behind the calm

Moon Pond is made by a movement coach with 15+ years of experience coaching kids in dance and gymnastics. Our wind-down episodes follow the order research points to: let little bodies move first, slow the breath, then settle into the same gentle routine.

Slow the breath

A one-minute breathing video lowered kids' heart rates in a 2021 Stanford study of 342 children.

3

Keep the pace gentle

4-year-olds focused better after a slow-paced show than after a fast, frantic one (Pediatrics, 2011).
